How can a guy who never played, coached, managed, scouted or was involved in any hockey team in any capacity have so many sources? |

This theory about Connor and Konecny being overshadowed and therefore prime offer sheet targets has been talked about since like Christmas. Just like Sam Bennett would sign an offer sheet while all the focus was on Tkachuk.
But alas...silence. One by one RFAs are signing deals. Just like any other summer. |

The word ''natch' is a combination of the words 'naturally' and 'match'. It is used for 'naturally match'... as in; the Flyers would natch the Offer Sheet.
It's really not rocket science here, guys. |

I would be interested in a blog describing the "Tampa Bay model" .
Also wondering why a rebuilding team like Ottawa doesn't just sign Connor or Konecny and then immediately trade them for draft picks. What a way to get free assets. Maybe Ottawa is still trying to do that with Brayden Point? |

If you just made that up, you're my new favorite commenter on here. If not, I'm out of touch and that was still really funny. |

I could see the next CBA battle bringing on another stoppage... and it is probably rightfully so... The Market Price of the Top Tier Players has climbed well higher than normal Inflation should have -- with the lower tiers either following suit, or absorbing the effect -- and the NHL Teams should all now agree that Parity between Large and Small has been accomplished. I'm sure the NHLPA will disagree and force the NHL into locking them out once again... Merely my gut feeling on this.

It's pretty funny though that there's a general consensus that he makes it all up yet we still come to the site regularly...I guess it explains why the National Enquirer is still on the shelves.
At least it's got a good comment section |

Thank you, that clears things up nicely. There must be other words Ek can combine in order to get these updates out quicker. |

Offer sheets for those two?
I think the Canadiens proved what happens with offer sheets and why they are not used... they certainly didn’t show us that it is a good idea... no chance.
What happened to the hard deadline for Marner lol.
Are the Leafs executives feeling even more disrespected?
Now after 3 offers they’ve made and no progress??
Geez man keep making things up |

Leafs have decided to sign Marner to an 8-year deal, and then it's a sign-and-trade involving 3 teams.
It's complicated, so it's going to take time.
But Ek is bang-on in his predictions. |

So you are saying that Mirtle, and Paul Marner's handpuppet are Ek's sources? |
